Imogene Drake was born in Kent, Ohio on June 6,1930, to Holice and Dorothy Chatman. She had five other siblings: Yvonne, Harmon, Lee, Constance (Connie) and Linda.
After graduating High School, Imogene would go on to attend Kent State University. In the process of time, She would meet her future Husband, George Alfred Drake Jr. They Married June 18, 1949, and traveled to Cleveland, Ohio to establish their first home. From their union Gregory Charles and Deborah Ann Drake were born. Imogene would go on to work for the United States Postal Service and retire as a Supervisor, after 31 1/2 years. She was an avid reader, a Photographer, an excellent Cook, Frequent Traveler(organizing countless bus trips for friends and family)and a lifelong member of the National Garden Club.  George and Imogene were married over fifty years and kept their vows both in sickness and in health. Imogene was a devoted and loving care giver, until George Alfred Drake passed away. She continued to live life and hold her love for George in her heart always. She was excited to spend time with family. Especially, her daughter and Grandchildren. Imogene was also passionate about supporting the annual B. F. Brown Family Reunion, to see the entire family as often as she could. She enjoyed attending and participated at her church,  Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Where Dr. Sheena Cameron is the Pastor. At the age of ninety-one at her request, Imogene was Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins by Pastor Robert Lee Cross of The House of Deliverance of the Apostolic Faith in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She loved fellowshipping with the saints and often wanted them to sing with her "LET THE CHURCH SAY AMEN; GOD HAS SPOKEN, LET THE CHURCH SAY AMEN". Imogene Drake passed away peacefully on  Tuesday March 21, 2023. She was Proceeded in death by her parents: Holice and Dorothy Chatman, Husband,: George A. Drake, Siblings: Yvonne Johnson, Harmon Chatman, Lee Chatman, Constance Clinkscales, Linda Stone, and Son: Gregory C. Drake. She leaves to treasure her memory her daughter: Deborah A. Kelly, grandchildren: Kyle C. Drake, Jordan G. Kelly, Jason P. Kelly Jessica G. Kelly (Pinky) Julian A. Kelly as well as a host of family and friends she loved dearly.
